Following its acquisition by Netflix, Black Mirror got broadcast to a larger audience outside the UK, receiving rave reviews. The show first aired in 2011 on Channel 4. So far, Black Mirror has provided us 20 episodes over four seasons about the ethical implications and potentially catastrophic consequences of technological innovation. Its name illustrates what we see when we turn off our phone, laptop, or TV: a black mirror.
